Topic created by joeymcgarvey on Tue Feb 27, 2024 at 10:59 amA reminder that the final event in our winter Mailbox Madness training series is this Saturday. The map covers the neighborhood around Clark Park—with beautiful Victorian houses galore—and the Penn campus, with a foray into the Woodlands. Meet at 10:45 am at the bowl in Clark Park to look at the map and plan your route. Mass start promptly at 11 am.More info here.Mappy Hour to follow at 12:15 at Carbon Copy, a brewery with great pizzas and other snacks. It's about a 15-minute walk from our start/finish; you may wish to drive or to park between the two locations. You don't need to participate in the run to come to Mappy Hour. Finally—you can run and self-report your times on the Fairmount and Chestnut Hill events if you missed one and want a cumulative score for the series. We hope to have another short series in the summer.

Reply by kathyu on Sun Mar 3, 2024 at 9:34 amThe Urbans picked up their maps but it was pouring rain, so we puttered around the farmers market (first class veggies, breads and baklava to take home) and we will return to explore west Philly. Our scores are not so important because we are totally non competitive, we're just in it for tourism, exercise and fun. So thanks again Joey and Ian.
