Quail hill is another nice area to Learn orienteering or to move up from yellow to a more advanced course.

Yet Quail hill has very challenging Hilltop and vegetative barriers (fight clusters) that will challenge the runners off trail also, so I always say its not a park to move up to a harder course unless you are really ready for a map puzzle to solve.  and those stickers hurt and the  associated seeds attachment issue begs a review of Kathy's seed removal tips a week ago on e board (free sham-wow! wipe anyone?)  Anyway, come on over saturday to the Fort Lee Night o,  I am the course setter there - then maybe travel down the turnpike to Quail Hill reservation and camp event.  Its worth the extraa tolls (sorry, the governors minions just upped all NJ tolls last saturday, parkway now $1.90 per barrier not $1.50...).  Remember to say hi to Ranger Adam at Quail hill.

Yes there will be a link to print clue sheets.

    Si Air Users
Si Air will be enabled, but we will not be "waking up" controls before the first runner.  I would recommend that if you wish to use Si Air, plan on starting your course a little later in the start window so that at least one participant with a manual punch has completed your course and activated the controls.

And if you haven't already - register here.  And check the registrants list for friends you expect to see there and send them the regisration link!

    ....

Re: SI Air - if you do have one of these, and you do go early - don't worry if you wave over the top and it doesn't beep.   Just punch the control the usual way - and it will register your time (and wake it up in Air mode for the next person.)

The links are posted in ED/CS Notes, but I can add them right here as well.

In order to remain as "paperless" as possible, clue sheets will not be provided at the event.  Control descriptions are on the maps, but if you would like a separate clue sheet, here are the links so you may print your own at home:

click here for white and yellow clue sheets

click here for orange, brown, green, and red clue sheets
