Thank you to everyone who braved that rain and cold to come out to our Coventry Woods event!  We even had some brave souls who accepted the no compass challenge!

These events require a host of volunteers, so a huge thank you to the following:
    Course Setter: Ron Bortz
Rain tent set up: Mark and Robert Frank
    Maps: Mark Frank
Registration and Start: Dave Morgan and Mary Frank
Computer: Julie Keim, Kyle Sullivan, Mary Frank
Control Pickup: Kathy and Dave Urban, Petr Hartman, Ernie Schubert, Mitch Zimmer, Glen Tryson, Eric Weyman, and ??? (I'm quite sure I'm missing someone!)
Behind the scenes OE and EventReg troubleshooting: Sam Kolins, Lena Kushleyeva, Julie Keim

And thank you to anyone I missed!  See you out in the woods again soon!

And also a big thank you to Kathy for stepping up to be event director for a late-in-the-season event  that always has the potential for tough issues to deal with.
A huge thank you to those brave enough to give a go at running a course without the aid of a compass. Check out the split page to see who all took on the "No Compass Challenge", especially under the weather conditions.
I was totally blown away by the positive outlook and feedback as runners came in from their ......damp....courses.
Looking forward to implementing some of the other ideas I've had over the years to spice events up a bit.
Everyone that completed a course sans compass will have at least one voucher for a future event coming their way.

The Coventry Woods park personnel certainly deserve mention for their very kind cooperation with DVOA.

Awesome you hosted this event - and despite the weather-inspired challenges of getting myself out the door, and started on the course, it turns out I had dressed well enough to really enough the adventure of trapsing around the forest - and so did many others I saw out there!
