It definitely exposed my orienteering rustiness and over-reliance on contours and features for navigation. A great challenge to our skills and fitness. Thank you for an excellent event.

Reply by wriley on Mon May 1, 2023 at 8:31 pmReally amazing and fast park - and you needed to stay sharp on compass and still be able to pick up minor details for needed corrections.. I got significantly off compass just once, and paid 3.5 minutes for that.For those that are interested - preliminary rankings are now posted based on the 4 (regular) events we've had so far.
Congrats to Carl, Pat & Kathy for getting a course in at all 3 of those events, to be the first 3 people in the 'official' (4+ events) rankings for 2023!(Quick, take a screenshot before Sergei & Angelica get more events done!)- Wyatt -

EventRegister has you registered with a teammate, and your teammate's name is listed there, that's why you are listed as a G2 (group of 2). Groups are included in DVOA event results, but they don't enter DVOA club rankings because it's tough to compare individual and team performance.If you indeed ran by yourself, we can correct your class to M55+. Otherwise see if next time you and your friend want to register and run separately -- that way you both will be included in the rankings, and you will also have the excitement of competing against each other!let us know,-Lena
