Topic created by Orienteer7 on Mon Oct 17, 2022 at 9:54 amThe morning event is for Navy JR ROTC (10am to Noon). Voulnteers (free event) and the public can start between Noon and 1pm. Controls will begin to be removed at 2:30. The area being used for the courses has been newly revised. Disc golf baskets have been added to the map but Disc golf tees have not been added. A few distinct bushes have been added with a separate symbol defined in the map legend. The course maps will be printed at 1:5,000 with 5m contours. The legnd and control descriptions will be found on the back of the map. Separate control descriptions will be available. Maps will be printed on Wednesday 10/19/22. Limited extra maps will be available for anyone registering late and the DVOA late fee of $20/map will apply if maps are available.JR ROTC bus parking will be at the Deep Creek Road large parking area on the left prior to the intersection with Synder road. Registration and results will be at the small pavilion just southwest of the main pavilion on the south side of Deep Creek Lake. Bathrooms will be located just off the main parking area southeast of the main pavilion. There is also a scout camporee at the park and it is possible the main parking lot may be full. Parking can also be found on the left side of Deep Creek Road about 250m north of the intersection of Synder Road and Deep Creek Road.
