The campus was beautiful, the courses were challenging classic sprints, the weather was heavenly and all was well run and organized. Can't wait to see the routes on route gadget!

We had a great turnout, and seeing lots of happy faces at the event makes such a huge difference!Special thanks to all the volunteers:Mary Frank for establishing the relationship with the college, and to Kathy Urban for securing permissions for the event.Ron Bortz for help with equipment, including custom control stands we needed for paved areas.Kathy Moss for getting half the gear to the event for us, so that little Nina didn't have to have a box of gear in her lap during our drive :-DKathy and Dave Urban for their help with early morning setup.Viktor Frolenko for help with morning setup, covering the first (busiest!) shift at registration / download, and for locating an open restroom in a nearby building, saving everyone a drive to restrooms at a nearby park.Daniel Fedorov, Sergei Fedorov, Viktor Frolenko, Dave Morgan and Kyle Sullivan for control pickup.And finally huge thanks to Sam Kolins for creating the detailed sprint map of the campus. The old map of BCCC was an outdated decade-old corner of the 1:10K Tyler park map, and the new map is a true urban sprint map, probably the best one we have at DVOA. And thanks for the super fun tricky courses!

We were not able to stay very long and help out as we were celebrating Rob's birthday with an afternoon visit to Oley's annual Peach festival. The map is super and the courses although they intially looked easy had some challenging route choices of which I made as it appears the worst choices at most of them on Sprint 2. Thanks you Sam, Lena and Nina "the Wild One" for the work on the map and the event. Your weather order was an extra special bonus to the event.Mark, Mary and Rob Frank

Reply by wriley on Tue Aug 23, 2022 at 7:41 amAnd... the summer series results are finally updated after BCCC.After this event:- Lena climbed past Svetlana into 4th place overall (volunteering pays in the Sprint Series!)- Oriana moved up from 8th to 7th place - on the day she was flying out to run Sprints at the World University Champs.- Bruce widened his lead over Sergei Ryzhkov - (while both of them moved up a place) - gotta check those codes!
