I suspect that everyone who attended our event is dried out enough so that they can touch their electronics without the fear of electrocution.  It was a wet one at French Creek on Sunday but we had a great showing despite the uncooperative weather.  As with all events, it takes a group of dedicated volunteers to put on event for the enjoyment of others.  Ours was no different and the volunteers showing their mettle by braving the rain and cold to set-up, monitor, and tear down the courses and registration area.  I would first like to thank AJ Riley and Bridget Hall for designing our great courses and managing the set-up and pick-up on this challenging map.  They were instrumental to the success of the day!  They also brought along a team of juniors to help hang controls and pick up (more on that later)  Thanks to Vadim for mentoring the course design and for getting maps printed.  Thanks also to Vadim for  Tech support on the Red Kit computer which is truly showing its age.  On the front end of the event, thank you to Sam, Lena, and Wyatt for assistance and mentorship on the Event Reg website and registration process.  Thank you to Mary Frank for the invaluable assistance setting up the computer and getting the maps bagged and the e-punches registered.  Thanks to Mary and Mark Frank for assistance the day of with Tents, set up, registration help and Tear down.  The Franks also had the unenviable task of hanging the kit in their garage afterwards to dry it out Surprised.  Thank you to Mitch Zimmer, Diana Alexsieva [QOC], Alex Merka [QOC], and Peter Zakrevksi [HVO] who assisted AJ and Bridget with hanging controls.  They got the best weather to be in the woods.  Thanks to Dave Morgan on Registration with Mary and to Bob Gross, Dave Urban, and Deb Samans on Start.  And finally, thanks to Diana Alexsieva [QOC], Alex Merka [QOC], and Peter Zakrevksi [HVO], and Mark Kern who helped retrieve controls (during a much needed break in the rain) and finally, the the Franks, again, who retrieved so many wet pieces of equipment in their cars to take them home and lay them out to dry.  We hope everyone enjoyed the event as much as we enjoyed putting it on.  Hope to see everyone in two weeks at Governor Dick!

I'll second John. Great courses on the outdated map. And thanks to all of the juniors who helped with design, vetting, setting up controls, and taking them down. I hope to see more courses like these in the future designed by juniors!
