Please be patient with us while we adjust to running events while co existing with COVID. Because we are learning/adjusting as we go, the details of the event are sort of scattered.
Here are the key things you need to know:
There is no water on the courses, nor is there any food or drink at the registration area. Bring your own food and drink.
Clue sheets are printed on the maps. If you want a separate clue sheet, you need to print one: http://www.dvoa.org/download/Warwick2020-09-06-Control-Desc.pdf
Please be respectful of others and if you are closer than 6 feet put on/ pull up your mask. You don’t need to wear a mask while running your course, do not linger at controls.
The restrooms at Warwick Park are open, they have running water.
Courses: Open 9am-10:30am reserved for competitors who'd like a less crowded start window; 10:30am-1:30pm main starts; 3pm courses close.
We are trying to avoid transactions at registration. Register, sign wavier and pay on Event Reg prior to coming to the park: https://eventreg.orienteeringusa.org/eventregister/a40/register/start/dvoa-warwick-sep-2020
If you haven’t been able to register before arriving at the park, if you have reception on your phone, you can register, sign waver and pay at the event via paypal. We will have to register you in the computer.
When you arrive at the event, check in at registration before continuing on to run your course.
If you have registered on Event Reg by 6pm on Sat 9/5/20, your entry should be logged into the computer. Iif you have your own epunch, you can proceed to start after checking in at registration.
If you are renting a epunch or compass – we will take care of that at registration.
There is a note on the DVOA Event Schedule page that says the Summer picnic is to be held after the Warwick event. The picnic has been postponed. I am working on getting that fixed.

Reply by robw on Fri Sep 4, 2020 at 1:01 pmSince the summer picnic is off, does that also mean that the summer club meeting will not be held at Warwick? If the meeting is still on, approximately what time is it expected to start?

Reply by Steve on Fri Sep 4, 2020 at 4:15 pmAt our last board of director's phone conference, it was decided tha we should not aggravate any COVID fears, in club members or park officials, bu having a meeting. However, we do feel a responsibility to report our current position to the club members. As we speak we are drafting a news letter that will be sent to all members, hopefully by the end of the month.

Reply by Guy-O on Sun Sep 6, 2020 at 4:19 amFor future events, please consider making the printable clue-sheets a tad smaller, so they fit better in holders...In Condes, when printing control descriptions, setting the box size length at 6mm instead of the default 7mm should do the trick, without impacting legibility.
