The Board of Directors of DVOA has met a few times and we have been reviewing parameters to keep our members/volunteers safe.  With that being said, as you can image, we also have to respect the Governor of the State's requirements as we are holding events as well as the Park Management.  So it has been decided to try some Safe events at  French Creek and at Warwick County Park , then the Board will reconvene with re-evaluate our parameters.

    1.  DVOA will be having preregistration for these 2 events.  The links, when they are ready, will be up on the schedule.

    2.  There will be a larger start window.  We will try to open these events at 9 am for the older folks that would like to avoid other participants.

    3.  We are requiring masks and distancing especially near registration / download and start / finish areas.  When you are away from people, you can lower your mask but have it handy for at controls when you may be nearing other persons.

    4.  When you come to events you will go to registration with a mask tell the volunteer you are here and verify your epunch number and course.  If there are no changes you will be directed to start.

    5.  There will be NO WATER AVAILABLE or snacks.  We canmot risk your safety or anyone elses. You will need to carry your own water and snack.

    6.  Hand sanitizer will be available near registration/download and start.

    7.  Watch for specific notes about the days course so that you know how the Finish will be set.  We may have multiple boxes for distancing so we don't want you confused at the end.

    8.  For those that are uncomfortable with the day of event 'crowd', we will have streamers left in the woods for a few courses for 2 weeks.  These will be untimed, visit after downloading/paying online.  You will be asked to text 610.310.4675 when you are at the park, and when you leave the park.  You will also need to text the license plate number so that if the park has a question of a car, we are prepared.  This has been approved by French Creek.

    9.  We have to monitor the State's requirements so should the State go into a Full Yellow phase we will have to discuss with the Park Manager to see if we can proceed.  They get their orders also from the State so welcome to our new norm.

    Please stay safe.  Mary Frank

Quidelines sound reasonable and will work well. Our local club has done the same over the past month with very good results. Looking forward to getting back out there
