We got a question on facebook from a boy scout troop. If someone knows the answer, could you please answer here? I'll give them the link to this post. Thank you!

"We have a group of Boys Scouts who are camping at the Hawk mountain reservation this upcoming weekend January 3-5 and I was just looking for information on your orienteering course there wondering if there are maps available there or can we down load them. Do we need to reach out to the camp? Something just looking for information if their interested in completing the course. Thanks for the information Eric Andrews Troop 79 Advancement Coordinator"

Unlike the other permanent courses in our public lands, it appears that the camp needs to be contacted (unless somebody in the club has something squirreled away).  This is per the Permanent Courses link under the Educate and Train dropdown.

Last information I have is that they are available at the camp.  I'd check with them to be sure that there are still some in stock and that someone will be there to get them to you.

When we re-did the Hawk Mountian map a couple of years ago we also updated the permanent course map.
The new map was sent to the camp electronically as a PDF so they can print copies as needed.
As of two years ago all of the control markers were still there, though a couple of the markers in the intermediate loop were in a logged area so not that pleasant to get to.

Hawk mountain is not public land, so you need permission to enter the property, hence the map is not available on-line.
I still have an electronic copy of the permant course map that we sent to them, in case they have misplaced it.
