There were two competitions - the Area 4 Championships used the Orange, Brown, and Green Courses.
The Cadet Challenge used the short and long White and Yellow courses
Scoring system was cross-country running race style.
So for each course, each team scored their top three runners (two runner for the Cadet Challenge).
First place was one point, second two points, and so on up.
The lowest score wins.
However, not having a complete team of scoring runners for each course would be an advantage in a lowest score wins competition. Therefore, all complete teams are ranked before any incomplete teams. Thus the rankings are first by the number of scoring runner, and within teams with the same number of scoring runners by the fewest number of points.
Not many schools fielded complete teams, so a different point system for next year might be warranted.
