It looks like Star Village is the last sprint for 2019, so the rankings below are probably the final sprint rankings for 2019.

There were some issues the the control placement for one or both of the last two controls, but I just put the full event into ranking system as is.

Brad Colbeck picked up just enough points to move into third place for overall point total, 1647 ahead of Sergei Ryzhkov's 1643.   AJ Riley was our champion for the highest average score for the season.    Lena Kushleyeva had the highest point total among the women, while Kirsten Mayland had the highest female average score (minimum 5 events), just ahead of Angelica Riley.

f you need a reminder about how the rankings work, see the old post at:

I was so tickled to see my ranking in the sprint series.  It just goes to show that persistance can pay off.  The series was a big part of my summer fitness regimen and I tried hard to get out for every one.  Being retired, just showing up was pretty easy, but I sweated a ton (we all did) and got caught in big downpours twice.  I am truly grateful to DVOA for all the fun I had over the summer.  I know some club members couldn't come because of work schedules or distance and I hope some solution could be found next summer.
So thank you once again to the people who set courses and event directed and organized.  Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Ditto Kathy on appreciating the volunteers who designed, set up, and kept us challenged through the summer!

I would be there more often if I didn't have a new grandbaby (okay, he's 8 months old now...) to visit on Wednesday evenings. Thursday would be a better night for me, but probably not anyone else.
