What a great weekend for Orienteering! Smile  As with all of our events, it takes a village to put on successful events for our participants.  This weekend was a two-fer and we had great support from our volunteers to make it all look easy.  For Saturday's Training Event at the Environmental Center, Thanks to Ed Scott for setting the Course and for helping to check me during training to make sure my information was accurate.  Thanks also to Becky Richardson from Berks County Parks for her support with the classroom.

For Sunday's Event, Thanks to Bob Gross for designing and setting a great group of courses.  Bob has been busy lately taking on Course setting duties for Crow's Nest and Mount Penn. Thanks also to Mark Frank who assisted setting controls on Saturday and Sunday and who posted additional directional signs.  Thanks to Mark Frank, Diane Reider, Rob Wilkinson, and Robert Frank on Start.  Thanks to our experienced Registration Staff, Dave Morgan and Mary Frank, who welcomed all of our newcomers and helped with additional training.  Thanks also to our pick-up staff, who braved the rocks a second time to pick up the course quickly: Fred Reed, Kim McCane, Dale Parsons, Eric Weyman, Ian Demenna, and Katherine Moss.

We had an interesting group attend our event this Sunday, a Public Affairs Company with the Army Reserve,  They took a course and then stuck around to draft an article for the Army News Source about the Club.   I will have my PA section at work keep a look out for the article and will post it here if published.  They are excited about having Army Reserve units come out and participate in events.

All in all it was a great weekend.  Looking forward to the continuation of our SPrints, Green Lane, and Hickory Run ahead.
