I was expecting somebody else to start a thread about this apparently very successful event, a debut (right?) of the Germantown Academy map covering a small but very interesting campus property.

I attended ostensibly to pick up controls (apparently wasn't needed), but mostly to check out Bob Burg's map.
I could report many good things about the map but, sorry Bob, for me the highlight of the event was learning the identity of a passerby who inquired in a very friendly way about our bizarre activity, which we gladly explained.

The short version of the story is here:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Johnson_(athlete)

The longer, more indulgent version of the story is that last Saturday I also crossed paths with him, standing close to him along pole vault runway, watching his star GA athlete ("top 10" nationally) clear 15'7" in winning the State Independent School Championship, but not having a clue about the coach, until last night, when I was very lucky to get into a longer conversation with him while handing over a DVOA card. In addition to all his Wiki listed accomplisments, he held the American record for 23 years, until last August. He admitted he was hoping for 25.

I drive past GA every work day, and have even attended events there in the past.  But never had the opportunity to explore the campus.  Everything from playing fields, wooded paths, meadow, pond, etc.  I stayed out of the woods, since I wasn't dressed for poison ivy.  Great course and finally, some great weather.
