As Sam predicted, the rain stopped and we did see the sun.  It was another glorious event at Governor Dick.

    The credits are rolling:

Thanks to all the people who do all the behind the scenes work taking care of the equipment, mapping, scheduling, permissions, the book keeping, publicty membership and more work that is done that I am not aware happens.

Thank you to those that helped the day of the event.  Dave Morgan, tkaing care of registration, you have saved me so many times!

Thanks to Mary Frank for stepping in at registration when it got busy and for the training class.  We had 9 people attend from the Meetup group and 4 of them are new members!

Picking up controls:  Erik Eddy, Fred Reed, Sandy Fillebrown, Brennen Hall, Bradley Hall, Eric Weyman, Lena Kushleyeva, Noah Houtz, Ian DeMenna, and Stephanie Grau.  There are two other folks who I have missed.  I appoligize for not getting your names.

I will second Diane's thanks to all of the helpers today.  I'll also add Fred K to the list who did the map printing.

And a big thank you for Diane for event directing!  On top of taking care of all of the details wonderfully for today she also recruited some new people to try out orienteering via Meetup.

The thanks should go to you two. The weather was beautiful, a little cold at start, but perfect in the woods. The rain stopped, the ditches and marshes were wet, but the vegetation was not, so only shoes got real wet. The controls on the west side were difficult, a real challenge. All in all, wonderful. Thanks again

Thank you!!! The 3 hour time limit works great for this map. Got to experience three distinct areas and challenge a wide range of navigational techniques. Those boulders are huge!!
