    Hi club members and orienteers!

Passing on some info about Ottawa O-Fest on the Columbus Day long weekend (Oct. 6-8) which is looking like it should be a super fun weekend of fantastic orienteering.

The schedule includes a 'print your own model event' which you will be able to print from home and do when it suits you, a middle distance on Saturday, a chasing start long distance on Sunday based on the results from the middle (the fastest starts first so first across the finish line wins the two days), and a sprint and a fun sprint relay on Monday. That's up to an impressive 5 orienteering opportunities in 3 or 4 days!

Orienteering Ottawa always puts on a good event and there should be a fun arena / festival atmosphere with radio controls out on course and announcing, a KidsZone, food vendors, and the Canadian Orienteering Store, o-store.ca on site.

The event is also the Ontario Provincial Championships and there are lots of good orienteers signed up already including several from our club so we hope you will think about joining us! It's only a 6-7 hour drive and we encourage carpooling with those that are already going.
