Reply by kathyu on Mon Aug 27, 2018 at 9:22 amThis is under "Registration"As in previous years, the training event has filled. Contact the registrar to see if any spots have opened. You can sign up on the web or download the form from the web site and send it to the address below. Be sure to enclose your check made out to DVOA.So is the training event filled or half filled?BTW I've always wondered how the training event was filled every year. I tried to sign up a couple of times, only to be told there were no openings.

Reply by Steve on Mon Aug 27, 2018 at 4:46 pmI am not sure what you are seeing Kathy. From the home page, click on the picture of two hands drawing on a map that says "more info and register"Next click on the left side of the page that says " register now"After that I am clicking non OUSA member, and there is a list of the most recent 10 sign ups.Ralph is the registrar, maybe he has better information than me.

Reply by kathyu on Tue Aug 28, 2018 at 12:53 pmIf you look down the page you will see the paragraph I copied above. I guess it is just some old info that didn't get corrected, but it really should be fixed. It's way down the page in the paragraph labeled "Registration".

Reply by furlong47 on Tue Aug 28, 2018 at 8:18 pmAnd yes, the event normally fills very quickly. (Last year it filled within a few days of opening.) I'm surprised it hasn't done so this year already. Maybe because the info came out later? I believe the cabin spaces are typically the limiting factor, which is why people can sometimes be added after it "fills" if they are staying elsewhere.
BTW, if you have an ad blocker on your browser (or at least with AdBlock Plus) the graphic linking to registration on the home page doesn't show up, which may be making it hard for some people to find. There is no other link to registration on the home page or the schedule page, only buried in a menu.
