    Wow!  What a day!

Thank you to everyone who made Mid Atlantic Champs 2017 (our 50 Year Event) a success.  First let me provide apologies up front for anyone I miss.  I do not intend to slight anyone who gave their time.  With the spreadout nature of the event, some people helped who I either did not see or did not know.  That said, here goes:  Thank you to Ralph Tolbert, who risked life and limb with Pennsylvania hunters to design and set an outstanding group of courses.  Thank you to Nancy Sharp, who sacrificed running to fill in on a number of areas including e-punch assistance and relay start.  Thank you to Sandy Filerbrown and Amy Louden (QOC) on the Computer(s).  This team even tackled the challenge of setting up OE2010 for a relay!! Thank you to Vadim for his technical expertise on the computer and to Ron Bortz for the extra equipment (and generator).   Thanks to Steve Mones and Mary frank who tamed the masses on Registration and Fred Reed and Tom Overbaugh on Start.  On Parking, thank you to Mark Frank, Diane Reider, and Kim McCane on parking (and any others I missed).  Your direction kept things flowing smoothly.  Thank you to all of the DVOA members who helped Ralph with the pickup.  Finally, Thank you to Erik Eddy who assisted with Relay signup and Wyatt Riley, who was our "Numbers Guy" for the event.  We could not have navigated the championships or the Win without them.

I'd like to thank everyone for a great year with an epic ending.  Will see you at the Winter meeting!  Wishing everyone and their families a Happy Holidays!

Thank you to everyone for the event.   What a Fun Day!   Even the van ride to the start was fun.   The park was beautiful, and the courses were fun.  I saw a fox, 2 deer and a great blue heron!  We also stopped in the enviornmental center on our way back to the car, and we were given a tour of the building and the history of the park.  Great day to the end the year.  Pat Burton
