There is interest to host an orienteering event at Harmony Hill in 2018 (Downingtown PA).  It can be on a modified trail map just as an introductory event.  The township actually contacted DVOA directly.

Please let me know if you are interested, and I will hand this project over.  It would most likely require making a basic orienteering map (I have good data on trails and contour base map).  While a nice park with a good trail network, the area might not be worth our typical mapper's time due to low parking and generally unpleasant vegetation.

I am curious if you coud define unpleasant vegetation (Poison Ivy?, catcus?  thornes?)

I concur about the thorniness, having hiked there recently and thinking - man the terrain's interesting, but man some tulgy woods.

Is this not close to where the old Paradise Farm map may be?

I don't think I was ever on the Paradise Farm map, but my memory has it a bit NE of this preserve. Agree that the preserve has some interesting terrain.  Hiked around there a few years ago.

it's very close, in fact there is an area on the other side of the road that looked like some decent woods that is owned by paradise farm camp but open for public use.

Harmony Hill is one of my almost weekly local hking areas. It shares a 400m?road  boundary with Paridise Farm Camp.
I have a slightly more positive take on the vegetation, which to me has a near average mix, although the nicer forest tends to be on steeper slopes.
Agreed, no obvious local meet-size parking. but would probably make a useful addition to the PFC map if that was deemed worth doing.
