Topic created by camperpat on Sun Sep 17, 2017 at 5:14 pmThank you for a great day of orienteering. First the long walk to the start was full of beautiful wild flowers! Then the cable crossing, I just held on to the bottom wire and decided early on to get my feet wet as 80 is hot for me. The courses were challenging. and fun and it was a beautiful day for a picnic after the course. Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event possible. Pat Burton

Reply by DaveDarrah on Sun Sep 17, 2017 at 6:40 pmMy thanks too to everyone who made it a good meet. Cables on the way out, Traffic jam on the way back so I took the low, wet route at both crossings.
Nice job, Ed, on the Brown course.
Glad the weatherman worked his magic today. -
Reply by edscott on Sun Sep 17, 2017 at 7:56 pmThanks to all that came today in spite of the longish walk to start. I thought the nicer woods on West side of the creek was worth the extra walk and hoped the somewhat shorter courses would make the day an enjoyable one. The help I got for flag hanging and retrieval was vital to the success of the meet. For two days prior to the meet I was unable to walk due to an inflamed hip joint. Diane Reider, Bob Gross and Jeff Scott hung all the flags with almost no advance notice. Bob Agosta, Dave Urban, Mitch & Donna Zimmer, and Kim McCane pitched in and got them all back out of the woods. I'll leave other details for Diane Reider, the event director, to sort out all the others that helped out as I spent very little time at the event center, but enjoyed hanging out at the remote start finish area.
