September 9 and 10 it’s off to to Hickory Run State Park for a jam-packed weekend of instruction and orienteering and camping.  Saturday daytime is fun but serious instruction for all levels including Bob Burg’s “Course Setting to Improve Your Orienteering Skills”.  Saturday night is Night-O, yes, orienteering in the dark!  Sunday is a daytime orienteering event to see what everyone has learned.  The weekend is full, but you can orienteer if you contact the ED.

The following Sunday, September 17, PEEC is offering an Introduction to Orienteering at their Dingman’s Ferry campus, (not a DVOA event).  There is also a permanent course at PEEC which takes you to the steps to Tumbling Waters, a perfect Poconos waterfall.

Sunday, September 24, it’s back to the Delaware Water Gap and Adams Creek for a shared meet with Hudson Valley Orienteering.

Sunday, October 15, look for some challenging fun orienteering in the Delaware Water Gap at Egypt Mills, near Stuckey Pond.  Advanced Pocono Leaf Peeping is an added attraction.

Club members, be sure to lend a hand – just a little of your time helps grow our sport!
